The ifa Academy is a fully accredited centre for TELC and TestDaF preparatory courses, tests and certificates. As an added value, German courses at the ifa Academy may also include local excursions, visits to cultural events, libraries and historic places in Stuttgart, where the ifa – abbreviation for the institution’s name “Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen”, in English “Institute for Foreign Relations” – is located.
For speakers of German who wish to improve their linguistic skills, the ifa Academy offers “add-on” courses with a special focus on written communication, German in a business and job situation, intonation and pronunciation, listening comprehension, conversation and grammar.
Professional development
Special trainings for professional development comprise digital cultural skills, international cultural communications, country-specific seminars and business cultures. Seminars and trainings are designed for and taught specifically to professionals who wish to work abroad and for incoming qualified experts who seek a new career, work experience or international business contacts in Germany. Courses are available in Stuttgart, Berlin and Brussels.
The ifa Academy also offers classes for international diplomats and international relations professionals working in the field of international cultural relations, the foreign relations policies of large scale enterprises and in the international affairs between state and none-state actors. All courses integrate a special focus on the impact of digitalisation and technical developments in international communications on the work of diplomats, policy makers and NGOs.
International projects and study courses
Besides the classes in Stuttgart, Berlin and Brussels, the ifa Academy also offers online study courses, e-learning, webinars and EU trainings projects.
Still, there is much more to it than the rich learning and study offers. The ifa and ifa Academy are also known for their charming setting in a historic landmark building in the city center of Stuttgart with a quiet and green inner courtyard – a perfect place for learning, meeting people, making friends, networking and enjoying varieties of cultures.
